What Did You Think of Today's Session?

  1. I think that there are lot of good things coming out of this class. I would like to spend a little more time on discussions with my classmates and not as much time learning new material. There is a lot on the internet but I want to know more about what people at AHS are doing. The time goes by so fast that I cannot remember what we did at the beginning of the session, let alone the end. Overall, I liked the way this is progressing.

  2. I liked the fact that different people were in charge of leading discussions on separate topics.

I suppose that the only suggestion that I have is to integrate (if they exist) some examples of how teachers in various disciplines are using the different software applications. For example, I know that Roger recently used Del.ic.ious with his World Civilizations class and really liked the results. Maybe a Science or Math or Business teacher has used the application and could explain how his or her use of the software differed.

  3. My reaction to today was one similar to Brian and Amanda's. First, I would like to see more time available to create things for my classes, and to have a sort of "show and tell" of ideas as to what others are doing in their classes. Also, I appreciated the time to talk with my colleagues on implementing the new blog assignment. It is helpful to have the feedback and collaboration. I was surprised how quickly the time went by and look forward to hearing about the changes from the Take 5 idea.

  4. I thought that it was difficult to communicate with everyone in the computer lab. I f we are going to have discussions we should relocate. I liked the introduction to Del.ic.ious and I am interested to learn more. I am glad that the homework assignments because I do not feel I know enough about Del.ic.ious to share, yet.

  5. I think it would be interesting to see what other people are doing with the tools we've been given. I would also like people to share what's blocking them from moving forward with some of the things we've been shown. I think it might also be helpful if everyone brought a future lesson/unit to share with their interdisciplinary small group to ask for ideas /suggestions or amplification of/new thinking to what they have already begun. Perhaps we could then give people the opportunity to work on the unit and receive feedback. I think this a safe group to do this in and might jumpstart some of us.
