In 2002, Nintendo alone invested more than $140,000,000 (USD) in research and development. That same year, the U.S. Federal Government spent less than half that much on Research & Innovation.He briefly refences some of the higher-order thinking skills that students learn from playing video games (Mark Prensky talks about this a lot). But I think the key point for me is that the business world is pouring money into technology to attract our students (their consumers) - why is it so hard for education to even consider doing the same?
