Crash Course in Learning Theory

From the Creating Passionate Users blog, this post discusses techniques for engaging your students:
Here's a crash course on some of our favorite learning techniques gleaned from cognitive science, learning theory, neuroscience, psychology, and entertainment (including game design). Much of it is based around courses I designed and taught at UCLA Extension's New Media/Entertainment Studies department.

I need to spend more time with it, but I think there's a lot of good information here for all of us - and that if fits nicely both with our constructivist focus and our technology focus. And the author - Kathy Sierra apparently lives in Boulder - maybe we should see if she might want to come talk with us sometime?

  1. You're right, Karl. This blog is so interesting, not to mention cleverly written.

Where do you find these things?
