I think they should be trying to get people to turn out lights and tv's when they are not in use. I feel that would be a good idea as well. I also nticed google telling people about Earth Day, by blacking out their background.toddhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11076449567661371501noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16660456.post-10897663571892579862008-03-31T09:05:00.000-06:002008-03-31T09:05:00.000-06:00I think this is a good idea, but im sure it is not...I think this is a good idea, but im sure it is not possible for everyone. I think another idea would be to get to people to turn ff lights and tv's when they are not in use. I oticed google blacked out their screen for earth day, trying to tell peple about the importance of it. It is an important idea and something people need to take serioulsy, no matter how they save energy.toddhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11076449567661371501noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16660456.post-16767196791079100712008-03-30T08:25:00.000-06:002008-03-30T08:25:00.000-06:00@jacquio - Well, I found a few sets of photos and ...@jacquio - Well, I found a few sets of photos and one video in a quick search.Karl Fischhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11121548023409279686noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16660456.post-2960590139304063002008-03-29T18:49:00.000-06:002008-03-29T18:49:00.000-06:00I found it interesting that the best advertiser on...I found it interesting that the best advertiser online, Google, jumped in to spread awareness of Earth Hour by "blacking out" their home page. What we really need is smart architecture, efficient cars, houses that are insulated, public transportation, and technologies that use the renewable energy sources that our planet has available. Feel good solutions and useless hype will get us nowhere in the big picture ( which is serious, both ecologically and politically.)jacquiohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02902984040832542126noreply@blogger.com
